Long Overdue Legislative Action on Ambush Out of Network Charges is About to be Passed. 

John C. Grady, Esquire has participated in the past in association with the New Jersey Association of Health Plans (NJAHP) in meeting with legislators and providing comments and suggested language for this legislation. The problem of excessive out-of-network billing for patients who thought they were being attended by in- network staff at an in-network hospital without being notified of the provider’s network status is real.  Reaching a consensus on a solution has been contentious and long delayed.
